Five of us enjoyed a lovely walk today from Linacre Woods to Holymoorside and back. The walk was planned by the new walk leader Phil Holloway and was gentle and pleasant. Topics of conversation included Jackie’s new car, Boris Johnson, the cost of Grant’s pint, Facebook and next year’s proposed trip to Italy.

We have just spent a lovely weekend in Seathwaite at the High Moss hut in the Duddon valley. The hut was clean and spacious and we shared with two other groups, one the Romsey Mountaineering Club and another group of four out biking, walking and climbing.
