After initiating plan B, stayed in the Count House, well known to many DMCers from past meets, offers great accommodation above Bosigran, and a chance to meet and share plans with other climbers. Managing to avoid the heat wave until the very end of the trip, we packed in 5 very full days of climbing, getting a reputation for being last back (and sometimes first to leave too), either reflecting our psyche to make the most, or our lack of speed dealing with the complex descents and route finding! Climbed starred classics from VDiff to HVS, at Bosigran, Chair Ladder, Gunnards, and Sennen Highlights were Commando Ridge, Paragon, a tasty HVS with a tough gritstone like top pitch, and finishing up on Right Angle, the uber classic HS above a big sea at sunset. While some encounters with bird life were expected, we didn’t think Alex would have to sweet talk a Pigeon out of the way on our first route. Plenty left to do, so hopefully there will be another SW meet soon.
