Hut Meet Report - Yorkshire
What a great trip to Yorkshire! Camped near Ingleton with an abundance of great walks, caves, climbs and pubs nearby!
We climbed at Twistleton Scar Friday evening and again on Saturday given it's abundance of grades (tho we kept to S to VS mainly). The rock was much grippier for limestone than anticipated .. I guess the scale of the place dissipates the wear and polish.
On Sunday Josh and I ventured into Crook Gill, to swim or wade through a series of plunge pools lying below waterfalls/ headwalls which we would then climb. Impossible to grade conventionally given at times we were climbing (softer bridging) wet, moss covered rock with running water (the guide book gives it HVD). Incredibly beautiful and rarely visited place .. a real land that time forgot.
