Ashford in the Water - Monthly DMC Walk

Despite a “mixed” forecast, we had a good turnout for our November club walk.

10 starters and we only lost 2 on the way! (only kidding - Tony and Judith left us at Monsal Head for a prior engagement) good call guys, after that it was waterproofs all the way… we wended our way down Monsal Dale - uncharacteristically empty apart from the dippers- to a slightly damp lunch stop at the picnic site. Up an equally deserted Deepdale to Sheldon. From here we descended back down to the Wye through the beautiful beech woods of little Shacklow, ending up back in Ashford in the Water in plenty of time for a pint in the White Lion! Perfect end to a great day in good company. Thanks to all who came out in the rain.
