We didn’t rush to get to Stanage Plantation for our early September Sunday meet, as the forecast was for a damp start.

However, the rain soon cleared, the sun came out and the breeze quickly dried the rock.

A wide range of routes were climbed in perfect conditions from Diff to E2. Routes included Left Unconquerable, August Arete, Monday Blue and Paradise Wall. Martin managed to tick off 3 more routes out of the Ron Fawcett list of 100 solos that he’s working his way through.
